Boys get MOHAWKS! (5-15-2011)

Robert before

Michael before
Okay, I thought I would NEVER let my boys get a mohawk, but they have wanted one for a VERY long time.  I agreed that if they waited until after Robert's First Communion then they could get one for the last 2 weeks of school and then during the summer.  They will have their "normal" hair when school starts back.  They will still be able to do their hair in the morning like they have been doing.  Michael had a Fauxhawk and Robert had the chopped hair and required hair paste.

They had a blast at SPORT CLIP'S.  They got a haircut, shampoo and style.  The boys have NEVER had their hairwashed by someone else since they were babies.  I would recommend Sport Clip's on Hwy 6 by Wal-Mart to anyone.  They were great with the boys.  I had a free haircut coupon for new clients and they have never been, so SCORE on 2 FREE mohawks!
Robert said, "This feels like Heaven, or what I think Heaven would feel like"

Michael asked, "How long do I get with the coupon?  I want to stay here all day!"

The Cake

Group Photo-Traci and Robert on Second row from bottom on the left!
Robert and Traci have been working hard all year preparing for this day.  They both did GREAT.  Traci did forget what she was suppose to say after getting the Body of Christ (Amen) and Robert made a face after drinking the Blood of Christ (Wine).  But, All and All it was a AWESOME day.  We did not find out until Friday, May 13th if Traci was making her's.  We couldn't find a baptism certificate in ANY of the New York Catholic Churches, and didn't get the approval until Friday.  The cake was already ordered, therefore that is why Traci's name is NOT on the cake.  Steven on the cake is good friends of ours, Steven Welborn.  I am VERY proud of all of them.  Enjoy the pictures :-)

Shakepearience-Honor District Drama- (5-3-2011)

Rianne also did well in this.  She was in two plays less than a week apart.  Having to remember 2 parts is EXTREMELY hard, but she did it with NO problems.  This is a HUGE accomplishment for Rianne.  This is her 2nd year in District Drama.  She had to be nominated by teachers, then try-out and make it.  She did GREAT.  She will be in this next year also.

Saying her lines, very loudly where EVERYONE could hear :-)

Checking her "love" and finds out he killed himself

so she kills herself also with the same sword.

Rianne's Jazz Recital (4-30-2011)

My favorite pose!

Rianne and Mrs. Dina, her dance teacher
Rianne did GREAT.  She was moved to an advance class at the beginning of the school year.  She has been in jazz for 3 years and loves it.  She learned the routine very quickly and even helped with some of the choreography with Mrs. Dina.  I can't wait to see her dance again next year.

Suessical the Musical-Busbee Creative Arts Academy (4-12-11)

Rianne and Nicole

Singing GREAT!!!

Rianne being silly and posing :-)

Rianne and Anne Marie
Rianne did AWESOME.  She remembered her lines and sang GREAT.  I was a proud mom this day.  She was a Bird Girl, so dressed in pink feathers.

Westin Lake, with Pack 343 (4-9-2011)

Mike and the boys went camping out at Westin Lake and had a good time. Rianne and I stayed home and had a "girl's night". Sonya, Rianne and I went to Applebee's for dinner, then Rianne and I came home and watched The Sound of Music. The next morning, Sonya, Rianne and myself went to the campgrounds after my Biggest Loser Bootcamp. We all went out to McEntire Base and learned all about the helicopters on base. Michael Jr. made up his mind that he wanted to be a chinook pilot with the Air Force and Robert has had his mind made up for a VERY long time, being a police officer in the Navy. I am a very proud mom to have both my boys wanting to be in our military. Now, back to the camping trip...Michael caught his very first fish. I, of course, was the one with the bright idea I would take the kids fishing off the dock while Mike stayed at camp and helped cook. We were only down there for 10 minutes or so and he had a fish, meaning I had to take it off the hook. It was a really funny sight seeing me taking it off the hook, because everytime it flopped about I dropped it. It took me a few minutes and a lot of tries but I got it. Both boys had a BLAST camping and fishing. Robert has not caught a fish yet but we take them fishing once a month so it will happen, hopefully soon.

Michael the helicopter pilot!

Pizza Making Fun (3-28-2011)

This was a fun and healthy family activity to do.  We took whole wheat english muffins, pizza sauce, fat free mozzarella, and turkey pepperonis and layed everything out for the kids.  They got to make their own pizza, just the way the liked it.  They still talk about it today.  Enjoy :-)

Congaree National Swamp (3-26-2011)

It was a RAINY, but probably the MOST fin we had out at the SWAMP.  The entire family had a BLAST.  You can take so many trips out there and ALWAYS see something new.  The kids LOVED looking in the hollow tree!  Enjoy the pictures.

My two Michael walking ahead of me :-)

He said, "Its so peaceful I can take a nap!"

Our day at Riverfront Park (3-8-11)

Drawing the water with sunset behind the Gervais St. Bridge

The kids LOVE going out to the river.  Michael Jr. is really trying hard to learn how to skip rocks.  He is determined to achieve this before the end of summer.  Robert I am just trying to get him to stay out of the water when he has clothes on.  I think he was a fish in a past life.  Rianne is just Rianne.  Loves being outdoors, and trying to draw things she sees and likes.  Of course, Mike nor I have ANY talent at drawing but all 3 kids are good at it.  We enjoyed a nice, windy, sunny day with a high of 72 at Riverfront Park.

Michael and Robert had Artwork at District Office (3-8-11)

Both boys had their work displayed at the District office.  The work they did was AWESOME.  I have 3 artist in my family and proud of each one of them.

Michael's Triple Chocolate Birthday Cake (3-6-11)

SO EXCITED, he can't wait :-)

First bite was DELICIOUS!!!
As many of you know, Michael Jr. has been having a bunch of stomach issues.  Well, his actually birthday (December) he couldn't eat chocolate, his favorite cake, or for that matter anything at all.  He was on a liquid only diet.  So, I told him when he finally could eat something, he could get whatever kind of cake he wanted.  This is what he picked out, and he enjoyed 1/2 a cupcake.  His stomach started hurting after that 1/2 but he said it was worth it.  He has such a positive attitude for all the problems that he has had.

Cub Scout Pack 343 Blue and Gold Banquet (2-27-2011)

Scouts Attention :-)

The boys did WONDERFUL at the Blue and Gold banquet.  Uncle Mike came to watch them get their belt loops.  We had BBQ, Rice, Baked Beans, Hash, Green Beans and of course cake.  Michael and Robert really enjoy Cub Scouts.  I cannot wait for them to continue into Boy Scouts.

Snowy Days 1-10-11

I know I have not written in a while but I am going to try to get better about this.

Really mom another picture :-)

Making he "first" snowball!
This day was AWESOME.  The kids had a blast for about 30 minutes and then it was way to cold.  But, Traci was out there for about an hour.  She couldn't remember the last time she played in the snow.  She made snowballs and threw them at the kids.  She even tried to make a snowman, but it didn't work, it just collapsed.  I am glad that she enjoyed the snow.  Then, everyone came in for of course hot chocolate.  Here are a few picture from that day.
