Rianne's Birthday dinner at San Jose' (10-03-10)

This was actually on Rianne's Birthday after our soccer games and after a fun filled weekend at Granddaddy's.  We had a house full on the patio at San Jose'; the Boltjes family, Welborn family, and of course us.  She had a blast but turn a shade of pink when they came and sang Happy Birthday to her.  She is an active Cadette in Girl Scouts working towards her Silver Award.  She did earn her Bronze Award two years ago.  She is in Honors District Drama and also in Advance Jazz.  She is in ALL Honor classes at school also.  She is becoming a beautiful young lady.

Rianne's Birthday weekend at Granddaddy's!!

We could not ask for a better weekend for this to have happened.  The weather was PERFECT for camping.  Cool at night and comfortable during the day.  Everyone had a BLAST including my granddaddy.  He showed the kids how to golf, took them on the 4 wheeler, shoot a 22, then more golfing, and then had a campfire with of course smores.  This was the FIRST time Traci had smores and loved them.  She has already asked me to make them again.  When she heard that we were having them again at Rianne party she was so excited.  Of course my camera batteries were dead when she ate a smore and made a complete mess, but I will defiantly get a picture at her birthday party.  Sunday morning he made eggs, grits, sausage, and biscuits.  It was delicious.

This was our long over due date night.  Rianne was at Faye's house and Anne Marie Coble watched our boys.  She is a GREAT babysitter and would recommend her to ANYONE.  We had a great time with friends and watch the Gamecocks win!!  Here are the pictures!

I am sorry it has been so long since I updated the blog.  I have been extremely busy and have not had that much time.  These are the pictures from the soccer game on the 19 of September I just downloaded from the memory card.  Michael had a bye this day so that is why there are only pictures of Robert.  I will try to get better at keeping the blog updated!  :-)

Traci and her nails....

Ever since Traci moved in, I have been trying to get her to let me paint her nails.  And for over a month now she kept saying, "I don't know!"   So, I dropped it and didn't push it anymore.  Well, last night while watching television with her and the kids she said she wanted to paint her nails black.  I said, "Black, are you sure?"  She replied back, "Yeap, I'm sure!"  I went to get my nail polishes and showed her all the colors including black; I had for Halloween last year.  She decided on the California Red.  She was so cute after I painted them...would not touch anything, and held them out to dry for about an hour.  She is so proud of her nails.

Lunch with Great-Grandaddy!!

Claude A. Taylor does Grits with Grandparents the Friday before Grandparent's Day.  So, I called my granddaddy to see if he want and could come to breadkfast with the boys.  He said he couldn't come for breakfast because he lived an hour and a half away and the traffic would be horrible but would LOVE to come to lunch with them.  So, my boys were estatic.  They couldn't sleep the night before and were up really really late.  Lunch with Robert class is 11:20 and Michael's class goes at 11:30.  I worked it out with Michael's teacher to sit with Robert class when he came into the cafeteria.

The next morning went off as usual, and I get a phone call at 10:30 from the front office telling me my granddaddy was there.  I was surprised he was there so early.  So, I walked to the front office to see them and I talked them into seeing my dad at Waffle House for 45 minutes and then come back.  My dad only works about 5 minutes from the school so it was not out of their way.  I went back to class to teach again. At 11:15 I walk back down to the office to walk them to Robert's class.  Robert was SO excited and even wrote granddaddy a note.  I don't know what it said, and when I asked him he said, "It was to Granddaddy."  Michael joined them at 11:30 and they had a GREAT lunch and a GOOD time together.

I loved that my Grandaddy was able to do this with them.  I know they will ALWAYS remember this.

First Soccer Game of Fall Season :-)

Today was the first soccer game for the boys and man was it hot.  Rianne decided not to play this year due to having all honor classes along with being in Advance Jazz and Girl Scouts.  She was asked to move to advance jazz because she would not benefit from being the the normal Jazz class.  I am proud of her for making that decision.

Michael played really well.  NO ONE scored on him when he was in the goal.  He hustled, played agressive, and had a GREAT time.  Although, they did lose the game he had a blast out there.
Punting it out!!

Barely got this one!

He did great!!!

Robert played great.  As many of you all know, Robert is an indoor kid.  He likes to play on Wii, XBox 360, DS or on the computer.  He didnt play any sports last year at all.  He wanted to take a year off.  So when he told me he wanted to play on Mrs. Sonya's team I was surprised but very glad.  I thought today by half time I would have tears, but there were none.  He did say that his legs hurt after the game, but he is looking forward to practice.
